Our Approach to ESG
Our report covers GTT’s actions to further integrate ESG throughout its business, minimize climate-related impact and risk, and strengthen stakeholder engagement, among other areas and priorities to support its mission and long-term corporate strategy.
Based on this objective, GTT reported substantial milestones over the past year, including:
Conducting a Double Materiality Assessment in preparation for compliance with the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Reduction in the company’s combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions year-over-year in accordance with its goal of attaining net-zero for these business activities by 2035.
Screening of all business material Scope 3 categories and resulting expanded reporting coverage of the company’s greenhouse gas inventory.
Strengthening the company’s governance with the creation of a new position of Vice President of Risk & Compliance to lead these disciplines at scale for the company.
GTT is proud to present our 2024 ESG report, which reflects our continued commitment and progress across key environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles. This report includes information on topics identified through our materiality assessment and aligns with relevant areas for Telecommunications Services as outlined by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).
Information reported is based on our current practices and expectations around future performance.
Our ESG journey does not end here. We have a robust roadmap of initiatives that are underway to improve our performance and transparency with an emphasis on our people, processes and technology. As part of this, we are working to enhance our data collection methods, evaluate key performance indicators, and assess activities that can create positive longer-term impact for our many stakeholders.
